If you are a new customer, we can begin sharing your information 45 days from the date we sent this notice. When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.

How does Happy Money protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal and state laws. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does Happy Money collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Give us your contact information
  • Give us your income information
  • Give us your employment history
  • Provide account information
  • Apply for financing

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

DEFINITIONS

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Our affiliates include companies with a Happy Money® name.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Nonaffiliates we share with can include service providers, bank partners, and Lending Partners.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include: financial services providers.

For California residents only: If you live in California, we will not share your personal information with nonaffiliates, except for our everyday business and marketing purposes, as permitted by law, or if you agree to such sharing on a separate form enclosed with this notice. You do not have to contact us to implement this limit on our sharing. Also, you may keep us from sharing your personal information for joint marketing with nonaffiliates by (1) completing the separate form enclosed with this notice, found here; or (2) calling or visiting us online as described under "To limit our sharing," above.
