Why did I receive a late mark on my credit report?
If a payment was over 30 days late during a reporting cycle, it may appear as 30 days past due for that period. Continued missed payments can show as 60 or 90 days past due in subsequent cycles.
Partial payments don’t always prevent a delinquency marker, as you must pay the full amount due to be reported as current. Once your account is brought up to date, the status will update to “current” in the next monthly reporting cycle — it won’t change immediately.
If you believe you were reported as delinquent in error, you can submit a dispute. Please see How to Dispute Errors on Your Credit Report for more information.
Please note Happy Money cannot make exceptions to our credit reporting process and is unable to remove or change any accurate data that has been reported.
